Community guidelines
These guidelines cover how people show up in Levely: usernames, friends and invites, and fair play. They are a first version. We will add to them as the App grows.
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to follow these guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
How we collect and use personal data is in the Privacy policy. The contract for using the App is in the Terms of use.
1. Usernames
Your username is a public identity. Other players can see it on profile cards, friends lists, challenges, and leaderboards.
Usernames must follow the format shown in the App, and they must be appropriate. Do not choose a name that includes:
- hate, slurs, or harassment
- sexual or explicit content
- threats or violence
- impersonation of Levely, Levely staff, or another person
We apply filters when you sign up and when you change your name. Filters are not perfect. If an inappropriate name still gets through, we may reset it to a default username. That is not a ban. After 24 hours you can choose a new username in Settings. Pick something appropriate next time.
Repeated or serious username issues can lead to stronger action, including losing access to the App.
2. Friends and social use
Friends, challenges, and profile cards are meant for people who want to play together. Do not use them to bother someone.
Do not spam or harass anyone with friend requests, challenge invites, or similar contact. If someone does not want to connect, stop. Repeated unwanted invites or other harassment may lead to losing the ability to send requests, other feature restrictions, or losing the account.
3. Fair play
Levely turns real activity into XP, awards, challenges, and season standings. Inflating that activity to climb a leaderboard, win a challenge, or otherwise gain an unfair advantage is not allowed.
That includes:
- any form of cheating
- entering manual or fabricated health data (steps, floors, sleep, or similar)
- tampering with devices, the App, or our services
- otherwise inflating or faking activity to peak on a leaderboard or distort competition
Cheating is a bannable offense. We may also exclude an account from leaderboards or restrict other features.
Invite rewards are for bringing people who play on their own. Creating extra accounts, or sharing a device, to farm those rewards is not allowed. We may use activity patterns to keep referral rewards fair.
4. What we may do
We review reports and may act on our own if we see a problem. Actions can include:
- resetting a username
- restricting features (for example friend requests or challenges)
- excluding an account from leaderboards
- banning the account (you lose access to the App)
We aim to be proportionate. A first username reset is not a ban. Serious or repeated breaches can mean losing access.
5. How to report
In the App, open another player's profile and use Report. You can report an offensive or inappropriate username, cheating or suspicious activity, or something else with a short note.

6. Changes
We may update these guidelines. We will change the Last updated date and, when changes are material, take additional steps as appropriate. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised guidelines.
